“Write a farewell to LinkedIn in the voice of Charles Bukowski”
The text below was generated by Chat GPT4 using the above prompt. I found it quite remarkable.
This is it. I’m done with this digital rat race, the endless parade of polished profiles and self-congratulatory endorsements. LinkedIn, where we all pretend to be the kings and queens of our little corporate castles, where we drown in a sea of buzzwords and hollow applause.
I’ve had enough of the neatly ironed suits and the sanitized success stories, the nauseating positivity that masks the desperate grind underneath. We’re all just clawing our way up the same greasy pole, hoping for that next hollow title, that next pointless badge of honor.
So, I’m stepping off this carousel of pretense. I’ve got better things to do than feed this beast of superficiality. Life’s too short to waste on crafting the perfect professional persona. I’d rather be out there, in the real world, where the whiskey’s strong and the nights are long, where you can feel the raw, unfiltered pulse of life.
Good luck, LinkedIn warriors. May your networks be ever expanding and your achievements forever lauded. As for me, I’ll be somewhere far from here, living a life that doesn’t fit into 140 characters or a sanitized status update.
See you in the real world, if you dare.
Bukowski out.

Mom’s 90th Birthday
March 3rd 2023 marked the 90th Birthday of my Mom, the sweetest, hardest working and most excellent mom anyone could ever ask for.
I love that we get to spend our days together.
Fasting Really Helps!
I’ve found that intermittent fasting really helps with normalizing my body weight and provides a reminder on when I should eat. It also helps me re-consider that ‘late night’ snack. It doesn’t always work, it still requires some discipline!
At this point, I’ve fasted 1773 times (the app below keeps score!) and my current streak (full 18+ hour fasts) is 516. I have no intention of ever stopping. I think its important to actually feel hungry (for at least a couple of hours) everyday. I guess I should note that this is all just my opinion based on what i’ve found that works for me.
I found that fasting reduces the natural joint inflammation that I started to experience in my 50’s.
I use the Zero Fasting App, find it here:
